Saturday Lunch

Looking for a non-FQ lunch suggestion for Satuday. Party of 5 - mix of locals and former locals. Cochon was first choice, but it and several other possibilites are not open for Saturday lunch. Coquette is booked. Looking for someplace casual with good food. Nicer than Joey K's, but not Commanders. Would like to have oysters on menu, but Casamento's menu is not broad enough for everyone. Not limited to uptown and quarter is not totally out of the picture - just not first choice. Any thoughts?

Only place I would recommend that's open for Satuday lunch is Galatoire's which is unfortunately in the FQ. It's a fine restaurant and they have lots of oysters on the menu. Good luck.

Martinique Bistro on Magazine, though you may not find oysters unless there is a special.
Luke has their oyster bar.
Mandina's has oyster po boys.

Either, more likely as an app, rather than the entree - but some type of preparation. Request of one of the former residents - who in her words is "kinda vegetarian".
