What should i cook this weekend?
Chili verde? Pozole? Either of these scream comfort food to me. Especially because you can keep going back to fill your bowl so easily.
I'm thinking of starting one of these dishes for the weekend.
I have overnight guests coming and was planning on a Chinese banquet using the current COTM, but now all that seems like more work than I am up for presently.
Both dishes deliver strong flavors with a minimum of effort and they are easy on the pocket book.
Thinking of Smitten Kitchens vaniia bean custard for dessert. Also an easy, make-ahead dish that uses ingredients in the common pantry.
Of course, we'll need lots of sparkling wine to go with everything.
