Bakeman's - Can I order a cheese sandwich?

I'm going to Bakeman's tomorrow for lunch. I was trying to find their menu, I found some pictures on yelp and it looks like they offer cheese sandwiches. Can someone confirm this? I don't eat meat or poultry, but do eat seafood. Also, do the tuna salad and egg salad have onions? Thank you.

Yes, you can get a cheese sandwich at Bakeman’s. I assume you’re going there with a group, and that another member of the group selected Bakeman’s as the venue, since Bakeman’s isn’t known for its cheese sandwich, or for its tuna or egg salad sandwiches for that matter. My many visits to Bakeman’s have always been for either a turkey or a meatloaf sandwich, which are their signature sandwiches. So I can’t provide any information on the cheese, tuna, or egg salad sandwichs there. Perhaps others can help you out. If you have a choice of where to go for a cheese sandwich, I’d suggest going somewhere that treats its cheese sandwich as something special, like Latona Pub (for a good grilled cheese sandwich with sharp white cheddar on Columbia City walnut levain bread), Beecher’s Handmade Cheese, Take 5 Urban Market in Ballard, Bleu Bistro (for the wasabi grilled cheese sandwich), Chanterelle In Edmonds (for a grilled cheese sandwich with cheddar, mozzarella, Swiss, gruyere, and Parmesan cheeses), or The Continental Restaurant and Pastry Shop (for the grilled feta sandwich).

Thanks, Tom! Yes, someone else suggested Bakeman's. And thank you for the list of delicious cheese sandwiches, I'm going to have to go to The Continental soon for the grilled feta sandwich. Good lord!

I think a Bakeman's cheese sandwich would be pretty depressing. The cheese is the cheap sliced stuff, and their bread is so tasteless. The egg salad is fine--nothing special, but since it's only $3.50, you don't feel bad about it. It's somewhat bland so I don't think it has onions. Melange in the Washington Mutual Center (the one between 2nd and 3rd) has a MUCH better egg salad.

Thanks so much for the info, christy. We ended up going to McCormick and Schmick's instead. I still want to experience Bakeman's but don't know when I will.
