St Petersburg--Stone Soup Cafe & Pub
If you are looking for a nice place in St Pete for a beer and sandwich and don't feel like going downtown, check out Stone Soup Cafe & Pub on MLK.

My friend and I had some great beers and the food was homemade and amply portioned!
The whole place has a nice vibe (esp. on a brisk day) and we got a chance to talk to the owner -- cool guy who seems to care about the quality of product and experience.
Great bar too and they now have a full-liquor license.
