Lunch alone in Chinatown?

Lunching alone in chinatown, what are the good spots these days?

I had lunch alone at Sumo Ramen and that was pretty good. The food comes out quickly so you don't have wait too long by yourself (and I didn't feel awkward sitting there by myself). Just don't order the bubble tea.

Dobe and Andy got a nice crab paste beef fried rice.

Poon Kei got some nice buns, don't enter the buffet section tough.

For my chai chaan teng fix, either M.M. Legende or the one right next to Keung Kee.

Did someone ever tried the italian place under Kam Fung (I know that its not what OP is looking for, but I was always curious about that place).

I also like Noodle Factory, but it's very small, so get there early, or late.

You got the wrong Noodle Factory on the map

BTW do you know if they have any dim sum combos or is it your traditional dim sum servings?

I think it's traditional dim sum servings(if I get what you mean).

Sorry, auto function of Chowhound, I didn't even see that until just now, and removed it

I'm not sure what you mean, but you order from the menu and they bring it, no cart or plates going around that you choose from.

These days, I don't know. I like Pho Bac and Cali for pho. Mai Xiang Yuan has good dumplings and a decent lunch offer. Amigo has great deals for lunch. M.M. Légende's Hong Kong café menu is ideal for a lone diner.

Sounds interesting - can you tell me more about what it includes?

Well, it's a cafeteria style sit down place, altough renovated last year, so not depressing. They have the small Hong Kong salty and sweet pastries for between 1-2$ each. They also have a short, but inexpensive menu of noodle and rice dishes.
