Any recommendations for good bakeries or breakfast places around Kona or at least on west side? I have one recommendation for Coffee and Epicurea in Honaunau already. Thanks for any other suggestions.

  1. The Coffee Shack in H┼Źnaunau is to die for, not only in terms of yummy baked goods and drinks, but also for its glorious views of the coast.

Island Lava Java on Ali'i Drive in Kona has a breakfast that won't disappoint.

Yes. Thanks for the tip. The key lime pie was good. Didn't have time to try their other pies. Their salads were fine, a bit, though not exactly cheap eats.

One more tip I forgot to include was for Coffee Epicurea, just a little farther north of coffee shack. Coffee Epicurea also had a good selection of baked goods, more breakfast items. I liked the passion fruit muffin. The coffee was also good. Doesn't have a view, but a nice grass patio out back, and a selection of last minute gifts to buy.
