Steakhouse Bacon - Stamford Area

I want to grill some extra thick steakhouse style bacon at home. Years ago bacon was available in most Stamford grocery stores at the deli counter. I went to three different stores in the past week and none of them have bacon cut to order. Anyone know who does? There's nothing like a thick slab of bacon thrown on the grill.

I saw slab bacon at Fairway in Stamford last week.

Thanks for the tip. I got it today and will be grilling it tomorrow. It's even thicker precut than I would have asked for. Very excited. Of course I walked out of Fairway with an extra $50 worth of deliciousness. It was my first time there. I was impressed. It is like a combination Stew Leanord's and the old Hay Day Market without the Hay Day prices.

I LOVED HayDay!! And I really like Fairway- except the location! Glad you found the tip helpful. I am dying to try the dry- aged beef, but will wait for grilling season. The only thing I really don't like in Fairway is the bakery- pretty pitiful in comparison to the rest of the store's offerings, IMHO.
