Pho & More - North Wales?

bucksguy14 Jan 10, 2011 06:06 PM

I stopped at Redner's in North Wales on the way home today and noticed that the "old" Castello's is now Pho & More. Just wondering if anyone's been there and if it compares well vs. Pho & Beyond in Willow Grove?

Say, givemecarbs, did you ever end up making it to Vietnam Cafe in Telford?

John and I found it, but it was a really hot afternoon last summer and they weren't gonna be open for half an hour so we ended up at the R and S Keystone. But I still wanna go soon.

Vietnam Cafe' owner used to also own the Century Nail next door to Lee's Hoagie house on Route 202 near 5 points (in the same strip as the Outback)

I only just found out last year after he sold the nail place so that he and his wife could put more effort into the restaurant...

watercress, have you been to Saigon@Main and how does it compare?
(no Banh mi at Saigon, which makes me sad)

Been craving pho too, so will make a point to check this out in the next couple of days.

Don't much care for Pho & Beyond... we usually make the trek to Adams Ave for Pho Ha or Pho 75.

What about P&B don't you like? We're trying different pho places in Bucks and eastern Montco.

We even made pho for dinner at home tonight!

I've been to Pho & More twice in the last few months and I think it's very good. Their "Pho Deluxe" is my favorite pho on the menu and while it's a little more expensive than Pho 75 (which I frequent more often because of its proximately to my home) I actually like the Pho in Horsham a little better. I would certainly recommend Pho & Beyond to any pho enthusiast!

Not sure spicemistress. I just ate there and got a take out menu but I think I left it in the car. My friend and I had dinner at Pho and More around six thirty ish. He got the pho with brisket and ribeye and liked it a lot. I had a bit of it and thought it was yummy, but I'm no expert or vietnamese or thai food. I got the chicken pad thai and enjoyed it very much. I think the pad thai is a little better at Thai Spice in Doylestown but further research is needed. Last time I was at Thai Spice we got the table in the window and could watch all the people and dogs and cars walking by in the snow. The moving view made the food even more enjoyable so perhaps I'm being unfair.
We were seated in a booth in the back room so I couldn't tell you all how brisk their take out business is, but there were two other boots filled when we arrived and a couple came in just as we were leaving. The service couldn't have been friendlier or more attentive. The place has that grand opening vibe where they are still very much excited to have a new business.
The benches in the booth are set a bit too far from the tables, but would be perfect for a pregnant woman to fit her belly into. I think the previous tenant was an Italian place as the eatery retains some of those features. I kind of liked it. I'm glad to have a new pho place in the area as this winter wears on. I'm going to want mo' pho, mo' pho!!!!

I am very pleased with Pho & More and plan to return. We normally go to Saigon on Main but I think the pho broth at Pho & More is better and the ambiance is nicer as well. They seem to have an extraordinary number of people working there but that is certainly better than having too few. Prices are very reasonable and the service is good but i would like too see them take the ambiance up a notch.

I worry about that poor palm tree near the bathrooms. Is it still languishing there? I like the enthusiasm of the people who work there.
