Restaurants around the Preservation Hall

hey Guys, we are flying into New Orleans late friday night and are catching a set at the preservation hall at 9. Do you guys have any favorites around the preservation hall?I know that the restaurants of the entire french quarter are close by but any place especially close by? I ask because we would have about 2 hours from the time we get to the hotel to the beginning of the show and it's Friday night so chances are service may not be the quickest. This would my girlfriend's first trip to New Orleans so her first taste of the city.

Any suggestions appreicated

Since you're probably going to be in a casual sort of mood I'd suggest Napoleon House. It's not RIGHT around the corner but it's a short walk and has so much atmosphere. She's sure to love it.

If you need to be right close by The Gumbo Shop is close by. It's not the best of the best but it's solid enough and it's also casual.

Also, damn do I love the Hall.

Go to the Bistro at the Maison de Ville, its a block away. Make a reservation.

You could always get a great burger at Yo Mama's right across the street (just be sure you ask them to warm the bun). That way you can keep an eye on when the line for PH if there still is one then instead of waiting on the sidewalk forever.
