West Street Tavern, Newton

Curious what people's views are of West Street Tavern, which is off of Watertown Street, "down da Lake," in Newton. I wondered in here last week when I didn't feel like waiting for a table at Fiorella's. It's in the mold of other Newton places like The Local (although, unlike The Local, it harbors no "gastropub" pretenses), O'Hara's, Paddy's Pub, and the nearby Tommy Doyle's, but I thought -- at least based on this one visit -- that their execution was better. Their sweet potato fries were particularly good!

Others' thoughts about the place?
