lunch near Yards Brewing

I'm taking DH to Yards for his birthday in a couple of weeks on a Saturday. Recommendations for lunch near Yards?

oooph, all of these answers are thumbs down!!! johnny hots is all you need to know. directly across from penn treaty park, johnny hots makes some damn fine sausage sasndwiches and is definitely an nft-type philly joint.

all of the other answers before me are good recs if you want those kinds of places, except for dos segundos (always gets a thumbs down). i would especially second kraftwork, esp if you want to keep drinking....

FYI. Yard's does have a variety $3 grilled cheese sandwiches and I believe a soup of the day. The bread is made using their spent grains. The sandwiches are more "light lunch/snack" than destination dining, but are quite yummy when you're looking for an accompaniment to the beer :)

If you have a car, I would suggest going to Kraftwork on Girard and Montgomery. They have a great short rib sandwhich there and good beer selection.

Dos Segundos has great Mexican at reasonable prices.

Johnny Brenda's is another gastropub in the area. Or, you could hit the original Paesano's for sandwiches. OR, PYT for burgers. There are lots of good options in that area, anything specific you think he'd want?

Well you are close to Northern Liberties. Standard Tap serves brunch/lunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
