New place in Sebastopol, Woodruff's Foods

This place just got a write up in the biteclub section of the Press Democrat. I haven't been yet but plan on checking it out next week. Has anyone been there? Breakfast and lunch only as of yet.

  1. My friend Debra Meiburg MW in Hong Kong, a Sonoma County native, alerted me to the opening. I stopped by today at 12:30p hoping to try the Colombian style arepas. However, I was informed by the host that the arepa is breakfast only, which ended at 10a. I then said, "I came here just for the arepa. You're saying I have to come back another day?". To this he nodded.

Now, I'll point out that there was not a single customer in the restaurant or market section other than me. Arepas are any time of the day snack food. Beats me why it was impossible to serve me when the kitchen was not doing anything at all and there was a paying customer at hand. Maybe the grill was already turned off, maybe there's a different chef for breakfast vs. Lunch, who knows.

In any event, today was so cold in wine country, it sure felt like Hell had frozen over. So maybe I will return sooner than later.

    1. Have you had a chance to try Woodruff's yet?

I did go once and had a chicken sandwich which was good. But I'm still wanting to try the arepas
