Cincinnati restaurants for large parties

OC Mutt Jan 8, 2011 05:09 PM

My company will be hosting a few dinners at an upcoming convention in downtown Cincinnati. Could the Ohio hounds please help recommend places that can handle larger parties (30, 40, and 60 people). I'd prefer close to the convention center and I know I might be asking too much but hopefully something local rather than a big chain place. Thanks hounds!

Non-local, I would check with McCormick & Schmick or Morton's -- I believe both have rooms that can accommodate larger private parties. As for local restaurants, Nada (sort of gourmet Mexican with real good drinks) has an upstairs that can be closed off for private parties. If Mexican's not your thing, the old Pigall's also had private rooms; Local 127 is in there now, and might be able to help you. The Phoenix is in the old Cincinnati Club and can handle bigger parties; I haven't eaten there in a while but recall the food was good. I would also check with the Palace at the Cincinnatian hotel, and Ruby's.

Thanks! Hounds, if you know of any places aside from McCormick and Schmick's that are within walking distance of the Westin Downtown, that can hold a party of 50-60, please let me know.
