Good Saturday lunch in South Beach, preferrably with outdoor seating?

  • 4

Hi all, I'm going to have a long layover in Miami in a couple of weeks, and want to find a good place for lunch. My mom will be with me and is dead-set on going to South Beach. I like seafood and patio dining, and don't like pretentious nonsense. Given that, any recommendations for a relatively quick, good lunch and maybe drinks on a Saturday?

  1. Altamare on the west end of Lincoln Road. Seafood, outdoor seating, unpretentious. Just check if they're doing lunch service, I'm not sure.

From their website it looks like they only serve dinner, but thanks anyways!

It really doesn't have to be seafood, but that is a preference. I used to live in Tampa and miss the shrimp, grouper, and wahoo down there. Patio seating is more important though, as we'll be on planes all day, and I currently live in Alaska and could definitely use some warm sunshine right about now.

    2. not in south beach, but closer to the airport with a nice patio on the miami river is garcias. not pretentious and good fresh seafood.

      1. Wine Depot/ Bistro 555 at 5th and Jefferson has a very pleasant outdoor patio as well as a free private parking lot. Sardinia and A La Folie have sidewalk seating but are both very popular with locals. If weather is nice, I like taking out of towners to the Ritz Carlton South Beach Dilido Beach Club. Great patio, right on the ocean, nice menu choices and interesting drinks. If you have time you can walk along the boardwalk or up Lincoln road.
