In N Out sign on Preston now up......says "In N Out Burger coming soon here"

We went to eat a new Chinese Restaurant at Preston and Gaylord......(very good by the way...excellent in fact).......and on the way home my wife noticed this sign........this is the actual picture. It's on Preston near Warren I think.

Just FYI. Expect a zoo and chaos when they Arizona the wait was 4 hours when they first opened in Scottsdale. Here's the sign:

  1. But, they have none in Dallas open yet, do they?

    1. Yep, the signs been up for a couple weeks. We still don't have a go-to Chinese place in the area, which place did you like?

There is a brand new Chinese place near Gaylord and Preston. It is called something like Chan or Chen's Kitchen. We were very impressed. I like Orange and Sesame Seed Chicken and it was excellent. White mean only, great taste, quality, great rice. Big menu. Simple place. My taste for quality is always a simple question......."do you serve white meat only?".....if they answer yes...that's usually a good sign.....if they say's not a good sign..and if they say they don't serve white meat at all.......RUN.
        You might like this place.

      2. Thanks for the post.
My friend Big Mike, who is a Cali transplant is going bonkers - I just showed him the sign.
One of our coworkers asked, "Is that like a Krystals?"

What is so special about an In & Out burger?

I have eaten there a hand full of times on the west coast and Vegas. I just don't get it.

From what I can ascertain, vegas and most of arizona is not any good compared to the "authentic" california versions. From what I recall, the california burgers are a mix between five-guys, mooyah and the best of the two--take a look at the menu! it is simplicity approximating a true understanding of the american burger. Also find a reference guide for the hidden menu, or just say Animal style when you order your burger or fries. This place is a bargain/value in terms of what you get and what you pay. P-terry's in Austin tried it, not so hot.

I agree- we ate at an In N Out Burger in Phoenix on a strong recommendation and we couldn't understand why anyone was interested in eating there.

Then I plead with you DON'T GO to In-N-Out when it opens here and tell all your friends that the place blows.

I would consider it a personal favor.

Nice! FWIW... I'm a total In-n-Out fan, but Smashburger has become my fave burger place. I believe one has opened in Big D. Highly recommended.

I, wholeheartedly, agree! Smashburger's Mushroom Swiss with grilled onions is the bomb diggity. I love that their burgers come in the half lb. size and they will cook it medium rare for you - attempt, anyway, mine came out a perfect medium. Very nice beefy flavor, juicy, exactly what you want a burger to taste like.
Hubster has been a fan of Jake's for a long time, but to me, their burgers are flat and taste a bit anemic.
My last Smashburger was even better than my last Snuffer's burger. Albeit, wasn't Snuff's green chili cheeseburger, just a regular cheeseburger.
