Seeking Gourmet Stores in Jax, Orlando, Tampa/St Pete corridor
Hi, I'm coming to Florida to visit gourmet stores in Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa/St Pete/Sarasota corridors, possibly as far south as Ft Meyers/Naples, preferably those offering good selections of oils, cheeses, gourmet/specialty items. Smaller independents are my best choice, but interested in hearing about all. Thanks, keep shining...Tom

Rolling Pin Emporium in Brandon is good for a huge range of gourmet toys and goodies - and European Gourmet for, well, European goodies, mostly English and German.

Datz...a big thumbs up! Flew into Tampa from Cleveland on Friday morning with a planned stop at Datz to pick up some Jeni's ice cream, a great organic Ohio made frozen delight! I was in search of the Goat Cheese with Cognac Fig, but had to settle for the Gouda and Vodka Soaked Cranberry along with a pint of Sweet Potato with Torched Marshmallow... but I digress. They have a great selection of wine, cheese, pastries, and chocolates and the deli was packed during the lunch hour. Parking was a bit limited, but worth stealing a spot at the deli next door. I'll definitely be stopping in next month for another batch of Jeni's before heading to Sarasota, but this time, gonna have to do lunch.

Datz is pretty awesome, plus their cafe has some good grub. Also Mazzaro's has a decent selection of Italian and Piedmont cheeses.
Also Land and Sea Market is a good butchers shop here in Tampa.

Orlando has a few nice gourmet stores:
Cavallari Gourmet in Oviedo (right off the 417):
http://www.cavallarigourmet.com/Petty's Meat Market in Longwood (very close to I-4):
http://www.pettysmeatmarket.com/Harmoni Market, with locations in College Park and Longwood:
http://www.harmonimarket.com/And of course we have a Fresh Market in Altamonte Springs (minutes from Petty's in Longwood) and two Whole Foods locations, in Winter Park and a giant store in Dr. Phillips, right off I-4 on Sand Lake Road.
If you can time your trip for a Saturday, the Winter Park Famer's Market is extremely nice, and there are several vendors with oils and other gourmet products, many of which are locally produced.
