Recipe Database Software

I'd like to create a database of my recipes (these are recipes that I've written - or are in my head) - I use a mac - have tried MacGourmet - which is ok - has a lot more bells and whistles than i need - and also would like something slightly more professional - Anyone know of anything?

  1. I run Linux so I use this:

I'm a big fan. It can import recipes from webpages and various recipe file formats. I like that I can select a couple of recipes and it will print out a shopping list for all of the ingredients I need for them.

Don't think it works on mac though...

    1. I use Evernote. You can clip right from your browser or type them in. You can then add tags. It's simple and quite user friendly.

      1. Are you using the "standard" MacGourmet or MacGourmet Deluxe? We upgraded to the deluxe and find it very useful for generating entire menus and shopping lists for the menus. Clipping menus directly from websites is a little restrictive since it only integrates with Safari, but that's only a small gripe.

        1. I downloaded Bento and like it so far -
