New Korean restaurant in Pasadena?

Was told there is a new Korean restaurant in Pasadena on Colorado Blvd in a former sushi restaurant. Anyone know anything about it?

It is Gaon Restaurant located at 2063 E Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena. Haven't been there yet, but the six reviews on Yelp are, for the most part, pretty good.

Is this where Masa was then? Sounds about right address wise? Does anyone know if it is the same owner as Masa? I will check the yelp reviews. Cham is fusion-y and the servings are pretty small.

Does anyone know if it is the same owner as the "upgraded" version of Masa, which btw was a different owner, staff, chef, menu, and concept? The original Masa was completely different -- old school Japanese . . . there were always several older (80s+) Japanese couples there before it got revamped by the new owner. I will check the yelp reviews. Cham is fusion-y and the servings are pretty small

Gaon Korean BBQ is what you are looking for.

Found this thread (http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/426815) - fmr "Hana Grill" loc. Could that be it? (Cordova/Lake, just south of Colorado).

Just noticed the other day it houses something called "Cham Korean Bistro". Looks fusion-y (uh-oh).

I believe Cham has been there for at least a year. It's not bad for what it is -- a fusion Korean joint (as you described), or maybe more precisely an "Asian Fusion" place.

(Just fyi, Cham is on Cordova in Old Town, not on Colorado proper).

You are correct, but it's South Lake District, not Old Town. There used to be a Korean place in Old Town called Arirang or some thing.
