New or good near the airport?
Hello All-
Making our annual trip for a trade show near pearson-the food selection is quite dismal-anything new in the area(within 10-15 mins drive)
We usually hit Via Allegro, Ginko and usually one of the chains such as Keg or Canyon Creek-
cheers

How about a real old school steakhouse ? Topiary's at 3215 Derry Rd E is a find and just around the corner. It's expensive but they have great steaks, an amazing Ceasar salad, and professional service. The lunch menu has smaller portions and corresponding lower prices, but same quality.

Ha, kind of. Given how far you're willing to drive, you could search the board under "Etobicoke" and "Mississauga" and see all the various discussions that have cropped up about those areas surrounding the airport. As far as right near the airport, The Grand at the Doubletree Hotel serves very good dim sum that many of us drive out there for, and Zet's is a good 24-hour diner but certainly not a destination spot.

re: montreal traveller
If you're willing to go as far as Via Allegro and don't mind spending some $$$, consider making a reservation in advance at Sushi Kaji for an omakase Japanese dinner of cooked items and sushi/sashimi.
Another option is to head along Albion Road west of Islington and try out some South Indian dosas at Madras Dosa Hut.
