Casa Tua or Il Mulino (in Miami)

Hi, my boyfriend and I are going to dinner Sunday night on our (2nd) anniversary and are trying to decide between 2 restaurants, Casa Tua or Il Mulino New York (in Miami). Any thoughts on either? Originally we had a reservation at the new Cecconi's on Miami Beach in the Soho House, but they actually cancelled it yesterday due to renting it out for their own holiday party!!! Was not happy about that, so am looking for a good alternative. i made a reservation at both Casa Tua and Il Mulino.

Can you all help me out with opinions on the food? I have heard that Casa Tua is extremely pretty and romantic, but I want to be sure the food is great too; I hear mixed things about it.

Any info would help!

Thanks so much,

Stacey

Ditto for Casa Tua.............The service, food and ambience are terrific................Very romantic.
Il Mulino, NY is rather over the top cost wise. Although Casa Tua is expensive, it is well worth it.
You are not missing anything if you do not go to cecconi. When they called us to confirm, they told us we would have to vacate our table by 11pm. We said if that be the case, we will cancel.
they re-thought the request. The space is very pretty, the food very average. We will not be going back.
However, we will defintely be going back to Casa Tua.

Between the two I would agree that Casa Tua is the better choice. My fiance and I had an anniversary dinner there last year and it was delicious. I have never been, but have heard very good things about Il gabbiano as well.

If I only had to choose among the above, I would choose casa tua.
