Where to get frozen pearl onions?

They seem to be readily available in the U.S. but I haven't noticed them here. They would be very handy for a Coq au Vin. Has anyone found them in the GTA?

I've bought them from MacMillan Orchards out in Ajax.

Sobey's on Front Street downtown usually sells them. They are in bags in the freezer section. If they are not with the usual frozen veg try the freezer that has the fancy organic and "ethnic" products in it.

Thanks Gary - I think I know where that Sobeys is - have you ever used their frozen pearl onions in cooking?

Alas, I made a trip to this Sobey's specifically for the frozen pearl onions and did not find them in either the usual frozen vegetable section or the fancy organic freezer section. I only saw frozen diced onions. Still, if anyone reports again that they have bought them at this Sobey's, I will give it another try.

I bought a few bags at Macmillan Orchards a few weeks ago while I was out that way because that is the only place I have ever seen them. BUT, of all places, I saw them at the Price Chopper at Leslie & Lakeshore shortly after.

Huh! Okay - I will visit this Price Choppers and report back. Would you remember the brand name by any chance?

No sorry I don't remember the brand name, but it was on the top shelf near the frozen spinach at the location I was at.
