Chinese New Year Pastries
I have found a great recipe for the deep fried sesame seed balls (filled with chopped coconut, peanuts and sugar or red bean paste or my Dad's peanut butter/crunchy, of course). I am reaching out to find out if anyone has the recipe for its savory counterpart: deep fried crescent shaped pastry filled with a mixture of cooked salted port, dried shrimp, black mushroom, and bamboo shoots. We called them "taydoi".
