ISO new ideas for special caramel
- poached Jan 6, 2011 02:30 PM
I was given an array of delicious goat's milk caramel from Fat Toad Farm ( vanilla bean, original and cinnamon). I don't make many of sweets and could use some ideas of ways to use these special treats.
I'd love some unique ideas- thanks CH
Do I have the right site? Some of the recipes on the site sound yummy.
I love adding caramel to my coffee in the morning!
Having visited the site, I think all the obvious uses for the sauce quickly come to mind (over ice cream, pound cake, waffles) but I bet the sauce would be delicious swirled into cheesecake batter to marble it. Or used in a brownie recipe. Sauted with bananas. Dip for apples and pears. I may order some myself!
What about a savory caramel, I made some vietnamese chicken wings where you stir chili/garlic sauce into the caramel and then coat the chicken wings and it was amazing, very unusual and I'm not much of a sweets person either but it sure was yummy.
