The Almond Macarons filled with Date & Apricot, topped with Foie Gras Terrine was one of the best restaurant dishes I have had in a long time.
Our waitress had to talk us into ordering the dish because the idea of a pre-dessert sweet macaron did not appeal to me, but the dish absolutely worked.
Would also recommend Fried Oysters with Sauce Gribiche and House Smoked Fish Platter with Corn Blini, Creme Fraiche and Fingerling Potatoes. The only real miss was the Black Olive Tapenade with Country Bread appetizer -- stick with the complimentary bread.

La Cachette is closed. They have re-opened in Santa Monica as La Cachette Bistro. I ate their a couple of days ago and found the food to be very good.

re: lizziee
i think their ahi tartar is the best in town.
(also, think the fries they serve with the entree-sized portion are the best in town)i really like their bouillabaisse because theirs is one of the few in which the fish taste really fresh. even the mussels don't have that musky/fishy taste.
they serve a dessert that is called a Floating Island With Hazelnut Pistachio Almond Nougatine And Caramel which is one of the best desserts i've ever had.
(enjoyed their cheese flight, but, honestly, like the cheese flights at FIG much better.
skip their bread--nothing with nothing.
if i'm gonna have white-flour-carbs, gonna go with the hot crusty bread at FIG)
