Sandra Lee Handles A Question

Now that Maria and Arnold are out of Sacramento, we have Sandra Lee and Andrew to attract our attntion in Albany. Sandra does not seem to be handling press questions very well, with not even so much as a "semi-homemade" answer to a press question.

I can;t believe Sandra Lee beat out Rick Bayliss! WTF?

I can't get over the cocktail Christmas tree of hers below and her excitement over it. I think this tops the Kwanzaa cake.

I'm not a bit Sandra fan, but I think she handled herself very well. I particularly liked her remarks about children.

What's so wrong about not wanting to talk about your love life in public, especially at a press conference that was set up for someone to talk about the person's charitable causes?

The question was not about her love life. Lee and Cuomo are public figures. It is legitimate to ask how involved the Governor will be in her charitable cause. Clearly, Lee was ready to answer but her minder stepped in and ended the interview.

As the article said:
'The press release announcing the event boasted that Lee intended to "use her added notoriety as Governor Andrew Cuomo's significant other to raise awareness of hunger in New York State." '

It's like politicians/celebrities and their kids. If the press is asked not to cover the kids, they'll usually be respectful. But, you can't bring the kids into the spotlight and then ask the press to back off. It's really an all or nothing situation.

She can choose to either promote her relationship (as the release did) or she can have it be completely off-limit.

She putting her relationship out there, promoting it and using it to her advantage and getting all huffy when someone asks a straightforward noninvasive question.

Can't have it both ways. Regardless of how many cocktails one has consumed.
