Bar for solid cocktails

Hello Hounds,

I'm looking for a good grown-up bar that makes great solid cocktails.

I like the Bradstreet a lot for their inventive stuff, but today, I'd like to forgo home-made bitters and 6 different kinds of ice. I'd just like a clean martini or a well-made Manhattan.

Suggestions?

Solid cocktails? Perhaps you should try the new Ice Bar at the Chambers Hotel. (Oh, I'm such a wit! I crack myself up!)

Seriously, I'm not up on the trendy upscale bars in town, but I have had a lovely Manhattan at Jax Cafe. They do a great classic cocktail. And Jax is the kind of place that all these nouveau-retro places like Red Stag and Ike's are aiming for - it has always been retro and always will be.

The Strip Club, the Inn, Ike's, Cafe Maude and La Belle Vie come to mind. All have really good drink programs.

Town Talk drinks are still good, even though I've been unhappy with the food since Theros took over, and especially unhappy since most of the staff left.

I strongly 2nd the Strip Club, the Inn and La Belle Vie for good cocktails. They do have house-made bitters, but I think they all only use one kind of ice. :-)
