Staying at the Hyatt Capitol Hill and would like a yummy, inexpensive breakfast place nearby.
The restaurant at the hotel is expensive for eggs........

  1. Are you up for a hole in the wall? If so, Pete's: http://www.yelp.com/biz/petes-diner-w...

Although, come to think of it, Taqueria Nacional would be closer to your hotel and very good.

Second Pete's. Also, if you're into dives, The Tune Inn does a nice divey breakfast. Try the scrapple...IF YOU DARE!

    2. Teaism at 8th and D NW would be a short walk and very reasonable http://www.teaism.com

There is also a lot of chain stuff (e.g. Au Bon Pain) in Union Station

      1. Ted's Bulletin on 8th St! Love it - get a pop tart

        1. Cafe Phillips has really good breakfast sandwiches, bagels and coffee. Everything is fresh and quickly served. Also, great sandwiches (including hand-carved roast beef, turkey and ham) during lunch.

          1. The Market Lunch at Eastern market is my Favorite - Crab Cakes with Eggs and a side of Scrapple!

Agreed. You can't go wrong with Market Lunch's bluebuck pancakes or The Brick sandwich.

            2. If you are willing to head over to Eastern Market you can get a great breakfast at Market Lunch. I also really like Le Bon Cafe---a small French cafe with good breakfast options like waffles, quiche, granola, and lattes.
