My brother's b-day is coming up and after trying paella in England he wants to try somewhere locally. I was wondering if anyonw know somewhere not to expensive but interesting.

but he changes his mind ever other day, so anyone have any steak place ideas (it is his default place to go to)?

thanks in advance

If he's really into it, there are people who will come to your house with all necessary ingredients and equipment and have a "paella party" -- cook it right there for you and your guests.
I've known a couple people who have been to these things and reviews are mixed -- for example, one was tasty but veered away from the truly "authentic" -- but I guess it naturally depends on the cook.

Embrujo Flamenco on Danforth near Broadview does paella and flamenco dancing.

I think most folks would agree there's not much in the way of paella in Toronto. It exists at Segovia (Yonge & Wellesley) & elsewhere, but I haven't heard of anything great.

Great steak is doable. For a casual (almost trashy) atmosphere, Tulip (in the Beach) does a great job. Some more contemporary/hip meat joints include Black Hoof, Cowbell, Globe Earth, etc...

        Good luck!
