Le Creuset Soup Pot at Costco.com for $154.99

For all those Le Creuset lovers out there - Costco.com has the 4.25 qt. Soup Pot for $154.99 in several colors (looks like a couple of colors might have sold out). I bought the kiwi and love the color. It has a narrower base than the Dutch Oven, but it was great for the soup I made. I had seen the pot at the warehouse, but they only had it in Red. It is $10 more online, but I think that is to cover shipping. A great deal!

Kiwi is a discontinued color. If you like it you'd better shop for more. They have a new green out, Sur le Table has an exclusive on it until June. It is a bright green and attractive. They brought out Cassis last year, it is a greyed purple. Emile Henry's purple is much richer. The new green goes with it beautifully.

Candy, do you know why some stores (offline) discontinued Kiwi and Carribean two years ago?

I have plenty of CI so won't be buying anything but someone posted a picture of the Cassis last year. In person it wasn't nearly as pretty. As you say, "greyed purple."

At the Costco in Redwood City last night, they had the 4.25 qt. Le Creuset Soup Pot for $99.00! I was amazed that they had dropped the price so much (only in the warehouse, though; still $154.99 on their website). However, the only colors in the warehouse were Red and Blue.

Anyone around Pittsburgh have a Costco membership and want to take me along? :-D *Bats eyes very nicely*

I don't think they have them at the Costco at the Waterfront. I don't have a membership, or I'd take you. (I go occasionally with a friend.)

I should call there and the one in Robinson. Would help to know they had them before I sought out a connection :-p

Costco at Robinson Town Center has the Kirkland branded 5 qt (LC 26) enameled Dutch oven for under $30. Slightly lighter than LC.

If it is the dish I think you are referring to, it is also good for a modest amount of stews and braises.

I am not a Costco member and doubt they have the same stock in Montréal, but I think this is the dish I covet now.

It is not the dish but the pot that I'm referring to. If you do a search for Le Creuset, it's the only item that will appear. Also, I could be wrong, but my understanding is that non-members can order from the online site even if they can't shop at the warehouses.

No dice around the Toronto warehouses. They've carried LC and Staub, usually around Xmas, but have downshifted recently to Batali and no-name Chinese-made stuff that's pretty crappy.
