Boa Steakhouse (or cheaper option for 4 non-foodie guys?)
I am heading to Las Vegas in 2 weekends with 3 non-foodie guys for a small bachelor party. They are on a bit of a budget, but I am trying to still make the best of my meals. Ideally I'd do Sage or L'Atelier, but that is NOT happening with this crew.
Last time we came we went to N9ne, which we all really enjoyed. Previously, I've been to CraftSteak twice and StripSteak, both very good, with CraftSteak being superior.
This year, thanks to ChowHounders, we will be doing the Charlie Palmer's Cut of the Week deal. Apparently it is too good to pass up. For a different meal, we were able to get coupons to some restaurants in town as well, 30 to 40 perent off . These include: Yellowtail, Boa Steakhouse, Social House, and Stack. We will likely choose one of these, because the discount can't be beat.
Would Boa Steakhouse be the best bet? I haven't seen any recent reviews on the place on CH or elsewhere. Will I be sorely disappointed if I compare it to the aforementioned steakhouse? Would we be better off at any of the other discounted places? Should we keep Charlie Palmer's? Maybe Todd English's PUB would suit us? Perhaps Nove at Palms? Are there any cheap-ish, sit-down options at Cosmopolitan for this sort of group?
Ideally, with this group of guys, I'd like to have the whole dinner, tax, tip, and a glass of wine, for under 70 a head.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
re: Rich D.
Have you considered the steakhouse at Circus Circus?
If you're interested in hitting a club/bar after, I would consider NOVE as you could always hop up to Playboy Club/Moon as we did for a bachelor party a few years ago. Also, maybe hit Tao for sushi/small plates so you could keep the price down and then hit the club after.
