You can find many "Mable Coat" frying pans at grocery stores here in Japan. They tend to be quite inexpensive. They are not actually coated with marble, and I don't think they are ceramic-coated either. Translation of the description of the coating for a frying pan listed at Amazon Japan says "fluorine resin paint film processing", which is the same phrase used to describe a Teflon coating. I figure that "Marble Coat" is just another brand name for a typical PTFE nonstick coating, like "Silverstone" or "Excalibur".

These are used widely in Asia (Taiwan and Korea). They're actually really good non-stick pan. I have a pan which I use similar to teflon pan (medium heat and hand washed) I believe it's similar if not the same process as ceramic coated pan. Here is a blog post that I found which doesn't have any marketing tied to it:

I found this discussion on it:

Though I did find this one that makes pots out of soapstone:

Not much about it on the web... if you are that concerned about cookware giving you cancer, you probably ought to see what you can find about the specifics of the coating process. Its not like they carved a pan out of a chunk of marble.
Are you more concerned about the non-stickiness or the cancer?
