Midtown west side solo

heading up to Lincoln Center next week. Looking for casual, preferably ethnic spot (Thai, Korean).

Need not be formal sit down, white table cloth restaurant. I can even live with some places that make funky wraps, good Mexican what have you along with the aforementioned Asian possibilities.

Anyone?

Thanks in advance.

Amber on Columbus at 70th for good Japanese food. Lansky's (for decent but not great deli) is on the same block. If you want to spend a little more, go to Graffit on 69th (& Broadway) for great Spanish tapas. Earthen Oven on Columbus at 72nd for Indian.

Empanada Mama might suit you. Give it plenty of time, though, since sometimes there's a long wait. I think they make every empanada to order.

Lincoln Center is more UWS than Midtown West, and the immediate neighborhood is not exactly an "ethnic eats" hot spot.

What's your budget (not counting tax, tip, drinks)? How far would you be willing to walk?

That's the deal. UWS has virtually NO ethnics unless you start climbing into the 80's/-low 100's - which is why I asked about midtown (high 40's/low 50's-60).

          I'm a light eater thus the ethnic look/see - budget around $20-$25 without drinks/tip.

          Thanks for any anticipated help.

Got it -- thanks for clarifying. (Some people accidentally do get the neighborhood wrong in the post title without knowing.)

Here's a semi recent post on ethnic in Hell's Kitchen which might help:
