Ocean City with toddlers

  • 3

Headed to Ocean City NJ for the first time in early June. Looking for some food recs. We'll have our 1 and 2 year olds with us. Any type of cuisine is fine....our boys are great eaters. I'd like mostly casual, but maybe one nice dinner. My in-laws will be with us. They prefer more upscale, and nothing that specializes in seafood. We won't be spending all of our meals together though.

We'll be staying at The Beach Club.

  1. I've been doing some research on other sites and want to see if all of you agree.

    Good places to check out:
    701 Mosaic
    Voltaco's
    Hula Grill
    Sack O Subs
    Bashful Banana
    Uncle Bills Pancake House

Am I wrong with any of these? Any you want to add?

All that you mentioned will be fine. Frankly, OC is a family town so every restaurant is suitable for your toddlers. You will be surpised how lenient, friendly and accomodating the proprietors will be there as opposed to say Cape May. Not a slur, just my observations over the years. OC is a great NJ family vacation spot. Almost every restaruant willalso deliver take out to your rental as well!
      Some of my faves
Georges: on the boardwalk..great breakfast and fmaous chocolate dipped macaroons. Ice Cream if good too!

Uncle Bills: Great place but long lines..go to the Hula Grill!

Boyars on Asbury: Take out is awesome. BBQ Chicken to Filet Mignon.

Dont frget to bring wine with you...OC is a dry town.

There is a great playground for your kids on 34th.

Have a great time! Pack a sweater..June can still be chilly at night on the baordwalk.
