Looking for dried fava beans and nicoise olives...

Any suggestions as to where to hunt for them? The MD area outside of DC proper, east to Annapolis, and north to the southern Baltimore suburbs is okay for me.

    Thanks, all!

I found fava's at All Green's in Glen Burnie. I'm really impressed by the store. Though it's incomplete for most cuisines, it has enough basics of enough different cuisines that it's now on my "must go" list.

Litteri's old-time Italian deli has both fava beans and a large selection of olives -- so I think they will have nicoise olives. 517 Morse Street Northeast, Washington D.C., DC 20002, (202) 544-0183. Located in wholesale food market, just north of Florida Ave.

I have seen dried fava beans at Asadur's Market on Nebel St. in Rockville. They have a variety of olives too, but not sure if they have Nicoise Olives.

I think there are Hmarts in the DC suburbs. They have frozen favas, and I bet they'd have dried.

Go to the Mediterranean Bakery in Alexandria.
