dominick's bakery in yonkers-- anyone been?

We're thinking of hosting an event at a restaurant which uses cakes from Dominick's in Yonkers, seems to be on Nepperhan based on Google. We'll probably try to get down there one of these days to check it out ourselves, but does anyone in the area have any intelligence on this place? We'd save some money if we used it, but if it sucks, I'd rather spend the extra money and get a great cake from our trusted Artuso's or elsewhere.

YES!!!!! Not in a while but I (and lots of friends) love this place!! I used to live down the road and when they moved in from Arthur Ave I said I have to try bc there was nothing even decent in the area. I really do believe it is the most reasonable pastry shop south of 287. Everything is super fresh and delicious. Everyone has their own preference of course so I would say try them out first. I now travel 20 minutes out of my way just to go get my fix.

I only stumbled across your post bc I was trying to google them to see if they are open today, lol.

If you try 'em let me know what you think.
