Sola in Bryn Mawr - Another excellent meal
The six of us visited Sola on the night before New Year's Eve. My husband and I have been there a number of other times and always enjoy our meal. One of the six is a vegetarian and I had spoken to the owner about her likes and dislikes and she was able to find an appetizer on the menu; the main dish was a special preparation made for her which she enjoyed a lot. I had the prix fixe for the week which included a vegetarian crepe, snapper, a pork dish and a chocolate desert. All very very good. Two of the meat eaters in the party had short ribs proceeded by a soup; my older daughter who eats fish but not land animals had the arctic char; my son-in-law had the chicken breast special and a beet salad. In addition to myself, several of us had desert. The bill including tax, a 20% tip, and $10 in corkage fees for 5 bottles of wine (there was some left over) worked out to about $55 a person. A special dinner at a special place. Highly recommend.
