Any decent pizza in upper Montgomery County?

And I'm thinking Mangino's does not count. We live in Germantown and I'd love to find some good pizza around here.

if you mean the mangino's thats at the gas station on the corner of 355, and germantown road, i love their pizza! however, thats probably about as good as you'll find in that area. matchbox in rockville is supposed to be good as well, but ive never been,

Coal Fired Pizza in Kentlands isn't bad, neither is Guisseppe's in Kentlands or Mama Lucia's in Fallsgrove. They're not NYC but passable pizza for sure.

Fat Tony's (run out of Cafe Mileto) is pretty good. It's delivery/carry-out only. The pizza served in the restaurant is not the same and not worth ordering. It's also buy one get one free so you can't beat the price. Just make sure to ask for it well done or it can be a little soupy in the middle (for my taste anyway).

To counter that opinion, I had 2 meals at Zio's 2 years ago (1 pizza, 1 pasta), and thought it was altogether terrible.

I haven't found any really good pizza in the Germantown/Gaithersburg area. I like the aforementioned Giuseppi's and Mama Lucia's, but the Rockville branches of both are FAR better than their Gaithersburg/Germantown siblings.

Al Forno has a pretty decent pie if you ask for it well done. The one in Frederick, not the Gaithersburg location.
