Erawah Palace?

heading into the city in a few weeks for a show in the Rittenhouse area.

Looks like this spot is pretty decent, it's a byo, and it's near where we want to be.

Most of the reviews are at least a year old.

Comments? Favorite dishes? Don't need the best place on the planet (is it good) and if so, is it a byo.

It's been sometime since I've been to Erawan, I remember it being fine. I'm guessing you're going to the Church. If you're willing to walk a few blocks and want a better meal, I'd recommend Meme at 22nd and Spruce (they will let you BYOB now) or even Mama Palma's at 23rd and Spruce (you can BYO wine).
If you don't mind non-BYOB, I like Square on Square, on Chestnut just west of 19th. It's slightly nicer than your average Chinese restaurant. It gets accused of being pretty Americanized, but I don't think they are aiming to be authentic, just tasty.
Alternately, you can hit the El Fuego burrito place across the street (and a half block east) for beers and burritos.

I used to think it was my favorite Thai place in philly... but my last visit was rather blah (and I eat super spicy thai... so I don't want blah).

I would love to hear other recs for Thai from other chowhounds in the philly area since I think I need a new place.

I have been there once before...it was really mediocre....It is a BYOB.
