Afternoon tea/baby shower - South Jersey or Philadelphia

karenmm Dec 30, 2010 08:00 PM

I am hoping to locate a venue to host an afternoon tea/baby shower for my daughter in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area. Any suggestions on a venue that fits that bill? Or a caterer and a room/facility that would work?

Planning it for February 2011.

Thanks so much!

How many people are you inviting?

The Rittenhouse Hotel does an afternoon tea that is as girly as all-get-out, so it could be a very good venue for such an event (assuming that it is a ladies-only shower). Not cheap, but it's very nice and elegant. The set-up is round banquet tables seating up to 10. It won't be a private room, but I would guess that if you book now, you can reserve several tables near each other.

Amelia's Tea in Mullica HIll, NJ. Went for a bridal shower. The little sandwiches and cakes were lovely.
