Husband wants caviar tomorrow night - what goes with it?

What would you serve it with? I've never had caviar at home - only out. I'm thinking blinis and creme fraiche. But I'm wondering what to serve afterwards. I'm not really in the mood to cook anything too complicated but takeout after caviar doesn't sound too great! Thanks.

    If he likes caviar as much as I, a spoon will suffice. Another good one is a little sour cream in a Belgian endive leaf with caviar on top.

      Shellfish? I am having lobster for the two of us. Cracked crab too would be great.

        Fruit. Maybe a poached pear. A panna cotta if you must.
        Whatever you decide, a grappa would be nice.

          If it's quality caviar, then the only thing that's needed is your company.

            A poached egg (on toast/salad) is a good pairing if eating caviar straight out of the jar is out of the question. Then vanilla icecream.

              Yes, blinis and creme fraiche. And then lovely simple fruit. and champagne, of course.

                poached egg, caviar and BONE DRY champagne (Brut Zero/Brut Nature, not Demi Sec or just plain Brut).

                He'll be spooning the caviar, so in keeping with the 'DIY' theme of the meal, just serve up a large bowl of freshly steamed crab claws with some clarified butter.

                Utter excess, and you get to eat with your hands: what ever could be better?!

                  I like it on top of a baked potato and sour cream.
