Roys or Sardine Factory for New Years Eve

Hi! The bf and I are spending new years in Monterey. We have reservations at Roys ans Sarddine Factory for new years eve. Anyone have an opinion on which we should go to? Id pick food over ambiance any day of the week, if that helps! Thanks!

Sardine Factory all the way, especially if you want something romantic. They are having a special menu, which sounds delicious and reasonably priced for what you get and the quality of service. We'll be there on New Year's, that's for sure!

If food is #1, check both menus. They have nothing in common. You also might want to call each restaurant to be sure they are using their regular menus, not a special NYE all inclusive one; ie party favors, Champagne at midnight, limited food choices, etc.
