Place for a baby shower?

Does anyone have ideas for a place to host a baby shower? The focus is on the food and I'm open to savory or baked goods. I've called Yum but they don't do private parties. I'm also calling Amici, Parma, etc. I'd like to do brunch, lunch or late afternoon but am open to cocktail hour party instead. I want this to be a very nice shower, but I"m the only hostess so I can't go over the top. Thanks in advance for your ideas!

If their particular coffee-house vibe works for you, Black Dog Cafe by the St. Paul Farmer's Market was very willing to work with us for a wedding/reception. We rented the entire place for an evening; you would just take a section of the restaurant which I would think they would reserve for free on an accurate estimate of attendees. Easy parking, tasty food, nice staff as well.

I had a baby shower at Muffaletta in St. Paul. They have a little private room and were very accomodating for a brunchy/lunchy event. This was 3 years ago, so I can't comment on anything more recent there though.

There will be about 20 people. I will look into Bon Vie - thank you - but am also open to other suggestions!

Bon Vie Cafe on Selby Avenue in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood of St. Paul is a sweet little spot that would be just the right size for a small gathering. The owner is the same woman who owns A Piece of Cake bakery down the street; the cafe is open only for breakfast and lunch and is available for private parties at other times. I used to live a couple of blocks away and went there often -- great food and a really nice staff.

How many people will be attending? Will there be children present, or only adults?
