Any suggestions as to where I can purchase fresh anchovies (not salted or in oil) in the Boston area?

Got some at Russo's a week - 10 days ago. They were in the small room, near the grated cheeses. Maybe not what you are looking for though - not canned, but do have oil around them.

The Courthouse sometimes has them. Give them a call and maybe they can order for you. They receive sardines from Portugal on Thursdays and suspect they could had some anchovies for you.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll report back when I have a chance to stop by later this week.

I was about to say Courthouse would be the most likely place. If they're in season.
