Romantic NYE Lunch in Montreal?

I couldn't be bothered with the New Year's Eve evening hoopla, so plan to take my sweetie out for a midday feast instead. What appropriately celebratory and romantic (but not stuffy) place would you suggest?

Criteria:
leisurely pace
table d'hote or three courses up to $50pp excl. wine
Plateau, Outremont, Mile End, Old Montreal or Downtown
casual dress (we may arrive from walking/skating)
cuisine: anything other than asian (we have been gorging on Chinese and Thai lately)
... and open on Dec 31 for lunch
