30th Birthday in Brooklyn- BBQ?
I am looking to plan my boyfriend's 30th birthday party. We live in Boerum Hill so anywhere in Brooklyn would be best but could potentially venture elsewhere. BBQ is his favorite and he loves bourbon so a southern/bbq/bourbon joint would be preferred. We are probably going to have 20-30 people. Any advice?
Fette Sau in Williamsburg springs to mind (BBQ, Beer, Bourbon, Picnic Tables), but I'm not sure how they'd handle a group that size. Perhaps you could call them and plan something late afternoon where they'd have tables set aside for you, as it's almost always crowded in the evening. Good luck.

My office had its holiday party at Smoke Joint (Fort Greene) this year, with same number of people. The food was better than I remembered, and the party logistics worked out very well. You might want to consider Char. No. 4 too, speaking of bourbon.

We love both Fette Sau and Smoke Joint. I actually just reached out to someone at Smoke Joint for the party. I think that might work better because there is no weather issue. Char No. 4 is also a great rec, thanks!

I've been hearing really good things about Mabels Smokehouse, a new place in Williamsburg.
