If Hermes is your starting point, you could stroll over to Galatoire's on Bourbon Street. Also fun: Irene's on St Philip Street. A third, more casual option is Stanley, on St Ann Street at Jackson Square. There are lots of other delicious spots in the Quarter, but these three are generally acknowledged to be guaranteed fun. If you begin at Luke, some nearby CBD options include Domenica, on Baronne Street in the Hotel Roosevelt and Le Foret at Camp and Common Streets. Half a block up Camp Street from Le Foret is Rambla, which has hearty tapas and stays open late. Hope you have a great time.

Good suggestions, Erik. There are some newer places around town that are cool bars that serve great food like the Cap'deville. This place is two blocks from Luke and would be great if you were looking for dinner around 10:00 or 11:00.

I really wanted to like Capdeville, but their offerings (largely burgers) and service (appallingly slow) have fallen significantly short of expectations.

Why don't you have drinks at Hermes and have dinner at Luke. There's not a lot open today. The Rib Room at Royal Orleans Hotel is open.
