Help! I,m new here.

I tried to post a question but don.t know if it worked. I want it to say "New" before the post, so people would perhaps notice it, but no luck. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks guys.

  1. I'm not sure I fully understand what you were attempting to do but, clearly, your posts are getting into the stream. When you click on the "Add New Post" box on the homepage for this forum your next screen offers you only two options, Title and Message. Pretty difficult to do anything wrong in that environment.
    Welcome aboard .....

    1. You can't "see" the 'new' indication because you initiated the message. Other Chowhounds do/will see 'new' in front of your posts, so don't worry. You are not doing anything wrong.

        1. You'll see "New" next to your post when it has replies from other posters that you haven't yet read. As boredough said, when you first make a post, you won't see "New" next to it, but others will.

Hope this helps, and welcome to Chowhound! If you have further questions about using the site, don't hesitate to post them on the Site Talk board.
