I don't know what was wrong with me when I bought these, but I bout roasted and salted pistachios. I also spent several hours in removing the flesh from the shells and even have sore fingers.
Here is my issue: they're salted and I want to make baklava. Should I wash these and then dry thoroughly before I grind them?
What should I do? Or should I just buy unsalted pistachios?

Frankly, I'd use them as they are. Just roll them around in layers of towel to remove as much salt as possible. Unless the amount of salt is exceptionally strong, it might even help enhance the baklava's flavor. However, if that's out of the question, rinsing them in a pan of water with some light agitation and draining thoroughly before drying carefully in a low oven, immediately before grinding them for your baklava, should do the job. It won't eliminate the saltiness entirely but it should reduce the salt influence sufficiently to meet the basic requirements for the recipe.
