Not too far from Bordentown is Sun Lok Garden in the Dover Park Shopping Center in Yardville, NJ (609) 585-0520. I don’t think they have a website but if you call, they may be able to fax you a menu.
It has become somewhat of a tradition in our home to get Chinese take-out on New Year’s Eve and we usually get it at Sun Lok Garden.
Last night we decided to get mostly appetizers and decided on Egg Rolls, Pan Fried Dumplings, BBQ Spare Ribs, Chicken Wings in Garlic Sauce and an order of Sweet & Sour Shrimp. As usual, everything was excellent. If you like Chinese food I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with Sun Lok Garden.

I’m not a connoisseur of Chinese food by any means but the few times I’ve been to the Jade Island restaurant, I’ve enjoyed it. It’s in a really weird location on an island in between the intersection of routes 206 and 130. They have a full service bar and a sushi bar. In addition to the usual Chinese fair, they generally have an assorted array of specials.
The best way to get to the place is from the southbound lane of Rt. 130. You make a right a hundred yards or so after passing Mastoris diner. There is a sign, but the tricky part is that you run out of shoulder before you can make the turn so you have to be careful not to inadvertently pull back out into traffic if like me you were travelling down the shoulder anticipating the turn.
Their website is down so I’d give them a call ((609) 324-7200) to make sure they’re open before you go.

re: TomDel
I second that -- I LOVE Jade Island. Don't let the 1980s "typical chinese restaurant" decor fool you -- their food is so tasty! I love their wonton soup, shrimp stuffed eggplant, their vermicelli dishes and chicken and peppers. They have really great and very fresh sushi -- all the rolls are good and BIG! Their homemade mustard is awesome and a real sinus clear :-) LOL!!! Plus, they have a bar.

the bordentown area is the beginning of the "nether regions" of NJ when it comes to ethnic food. between there and down to cherry hill/philly, there's not much. i'd recommend that you go a bit north. the princeton area has serviceable chinese food, with my recommendations being shanghai park for true chinese cuisine, tiger noodle for a couple specific dishes, or hot wok cafe in west windsor (little known, but not too bad). aside from that, there's always elements asia, the dreaded, but not bad chain of penang for asian fusion types. rhong tiam in plainsboro and tom yum goong in east windsor for thai. for truly good chinese food, you're going to have to venture further north to at least the edison area.

Bordentown town is the beginning of "nether regions" when it comes to ethnic food? Really? In Bordentown alone worth a mention:
Oliver-A Bistro: French bistro type fair
Under the Moon: Agentinean/South American flair and fare
Farnsworth House: mainly American, but some Mediteranean inspiration
Toscano: Italian
Tsukasa: sushi
Marcello's: Italian
River Mill: Portugese
Jade Island: Chinese
Dublin Square: Irish fareThose are the ethnic restaurants that i can think of off of the top of my head, and ones that I would have no problem frequenting any day of the week. -mJ

We go to Houseki Fusion, which has a lot of stuff. Chinese, hibachi, sushi, and Thai. Best bet around here. Other than that, we go to the old Kenji Fusion on Route 33 in Hamilton, or Elements Asia on Quakerbridge near the mall. -mJ
