Best place to order a dozen tamale's for Christmas Eve?

We have started a family tradition by ordering out tamale's for Christmas Eve (as no one wants to cook before Christmas). Does anyone have an ideas for a place to fulfill such an order?

THanks

Alas, many places will have sold out by now. I know you need to pre-order at Carolina's by December 1st! I made the mistake one year of waiting until a few days before Christmas, and they had only one dozen uncooked tamales left. I snapped them up, of course, but learned my lesson. :)

Oops, you were right! The Tamale Store is no longer taking orders....

I have a call into Los Sombreros...

I seem to remember Los Sombreros requires ordering ahead as well.

The Tamale Store is at the Chandler Farmers market this afternoon....it might be worth driving down there when they open 3PM and buying from what they have available for the day?

My cousin has lived in Phoenix for 25 years and as such has had plenty of tamales. He thinks the Tamale Store makes the best in the city.

Tipped off by AZHotDish, we're fans of La Purisima Bakery in Glendale. There is also a Phoenix location. $14 a dozen. They only make red and green. Pics and details at this link (3rd paragraph): http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/5533...

Sent E out to pick up our tamales yesterday to be sure we had them. They had just steamed a hot batch so he bought two dozen ($28) with no wait (Glendale location). He said it was busy as always with people buying bread, pastries and tortillas, picking up or ordering tamales, and lots of the Mexican ladies buying big tubs of prepared masa to make their own. The hot tamales smelled so good, we couldn't resist and had them for dinner last night.
